Avoiding the black hole of "content" on social media. Join me!
In hopes of finding a different platform for my photographs and thoughts, I'm making this newsletter.
I’ve decided to make a newsletter because Instagram is a perpetual black hole of content dictated by algorithms. And quite frankly (IMO), it’s not meant for photographers anymore. Photographs need space to breathe. While Instagram is easily accessible for many and a platform with a pre-existing photo community, I’ve personally decided to expand where my work is published.
Also, a non-photographer friend of mine asked me “What’s it like to do something you’re passionate about for work?” And wow do I have thoughts about this! (more thoughts still continue to emerge which I will share…) So, subscribe (for free) if you want to read about it!
This will also be a platform to share more in-depth experiences, including challenges that were never “Instagram worthy”. The journey has been a process and this is the place you can read about the lessons I’ve learned so far in this industry.
I’ll share more updates, thoughts and experiences from the past year or so in the next “official” newsletter. And most importantly, a photo of my cat.
Thanks in advance for subscribing.
